At least three people were killed and five others injured following a mass shooting on Sunday night at El Camaron Gigante Mariscos & Steakhouse, a popular restaurant in Glendale, a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona.

Police said the incident occurred around 7:45 p.m., prompting a swift emergency response to the scene. Officer Moroni Mendez of the Glendale Police Department confirmed during a press briefing that the victims sustained injuries from both gunfire and shrapnel. The names and ages of the deceased have not yet been released.

“Obviously, there was a large crowd present, attending what appeared to be a public event,” said Mendez. “We urge anyone with information to come forward so we can conduct a thorough investigation and ensure justice for the victims.”

Authorities believe multiple shooters may have been involved. Although no suspects are currently in custody, several individuals are being questioned in connection with the attack.

Eyewitness Lupe Rodriguez described the chaotic scene, recounting how he ran for safety. “There was a man on the ground, and it didn’t look like he made it,” Rodriguez said. “His father was yelling out his name. It was pretty bad.”

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear as investigators continue to piece together details from witness accounts and surveillance footage.

Videos from the scene have since circulated online, showing the aftermath of the tragedy and the heavy police presence outside the restaurant.

Authorities are calling on anyone with footage or information to assist in the investigation. Glendale police have set up a tip line to receive leads as they work to identify the shooters.
