A seven-year-old boy, Tinotenda Pudu, has miraculously survived five days alone in Zimbabwe’s Matusadonha Game Park, a wildlife reserve teeming with predators like lions and elephants.
Pudu reportedly wandered away from his home, losing his way and covering nearly 15 miles before being discovered by rangers from Matusadona African Parks. Mutsa Murombedzi, a Zimbabwean Member of Parliament, confirmed the news in a social media post, calling the boy’s survival “a true miracle.”
“After five long and harrowing days near the Hogwe River, which feeds into the Ume River, Tinotenda was found alive. He endured roaring lions, passing elephants, and the unforgiving wilderness, surviving on wild fruits,” Murombedzi said.
The Nyaminyami community supported the search efforts by beating night drums each day, hoping the sound would guide the boy back home. Tinotenda was eventually found sleeping on a rocky perch.
The game park, known for its diverse wildlife, is home to lions, leopards, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and elephants, according to African Parks’ official website.
Murombedzi expressed gratitude for Tinotenda’s safe return, stating, “Above all, we thank God for watching over Tinotenda and leading him back home safely. This incredible story is a testament to the power of unity, prayer, and resilience.”
Tinotenda’s survival is being hailed as an extraordinary testament to human endurance in the face of nature’s challenges.
