The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled Saturday, June 28, 2025, for the conduct of a mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 96,838 candidates across 183 centres nationwide.

JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Sunday. He said the mop-up exam would cater for three categories of candidates: 5,096 spillover candidates, individuals who experienced biometric verification failures, and 91,742 others who were absent from either the main exam or the rescheduled sittings.

Eligible candidates have been advised to begin printing their examination notification slips from Monday, June 23, 2025.

Meanwhile, the board disclosed that 113 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres have either been suspended or delisted for various infractions. Some of these centres were found to have committed technical and security-related offences during the mock, main, and resit examinations.

“As a result of the ongoing investigation, several towns previously used as exam locations have been disqualified. Affected candidates will be reassigned to nearby centres,” Dr. Benjamin stated, adding that culprits will face prosecution where necessary.

JAMB reassured the public of its commitment to upholding the integrity of the examination process and warned against any attempt to compromise the system.
