Libyan authorities have arrested four Nigerian migrants, including three women and one man, during a police raid on a residence allegedly used for prostitution.
In a statement on Friday, February 14, 2025, Migrant Rescue Watch reported that the operation took place in Aqar, Shatii District, on Wednesday.
“Aqar Police Dept. conducted a raid on a residence used by migrants for prostitution. During the operation, three females and one male of Nigerian nationality were arrested. All have been referred to public prosecution for legal action,” the statement read.
Authorities in Libya have intensified crackdowns on illegal activities involving migrants, with law enforcement agencies conducting frequent raids in various districts.
