Nigerian media personality and actress Toke Makinwa has candidly discussed her experiences of being single and childless at 40, emphasizing the importance of embracing one’s truth.

In a recent episode of her podcast, “Toke Moments,” titled “I Am Growing Up, Not Old,” she reflected on her journey and personal growth.

Makinwa acknowledged that acknowledging her status was initially challenging but found liberation in accepting her reality. She stated, “The hardest thing I could say to myself is that I’m 40, single, and childless. I said it, and I did not die.”

Reflecting on her past, Makinwa noted that rushing into another marriage after her divorce might have led to another separation, emphasizing that personal growth is continuous.

She expressed gratitude for her current position, highlighting her accomplishments and the love she receives from family and friends.

Makinwa encouraged others to confront their truths, believing that doing so transforms perceived negatives into positives. She remains optimistic about her future, trusting that when the right partner comes along, she’ll be ready, having matured and learned from her experiences.
