A massive storm system has devastated parts of the central and southern United States, resulting in at least 33 fatalities and widespread destruction.

Missouri: The state suffered the highest death toll, with 12 confirmed fatalities due to multiple tornadoes that demolished homes and businesses.

Kansas: Eight people lost their lives in a severe dust storm that caused a 50-vehicle pileup on Interstate 70.

Mississippi: Six individuals were killed as tornadoes and thunderstorms wreaked havoc across several counties, leaving thousands without power.

Texas: Three fatalities occurred in car accidents amid dust storms in the Panhandle region.

Arkansas: The state reported three deaths and numerous injuries due to tornadoes, prompting emergency declarations and extensive search and rescue operations.

Oklahoma: One person died as wildfires, fueled by strong winds, led to significant property loss and evacuations.

The storm system also caused blizzard conditions in parts of Minnesota and South Dakota, with forecasts predicting continued severe weather, including high tornado risks in Alabama and Mississippi.

Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant, heed weather warnings, and take necessary precautions as recovery efforts commence in the affected regions.
