“President Tinubu Departs Abuja for Three-Day Official Visit to Equatorial Guinea”
President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja for Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, on a three-day official visit at the invitation of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. The President’s aircraft took off from the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at approximately 1 pm, accompanied by senior government officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, and other key cabinet members.
Among those who saw President Tinubu off were the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum and Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as well as the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
According to a statement issued earlier by the Presidential Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu is scheduled to meet with President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo at the Presidential Villa upon arrival in Malabo. The two leaders are expected to engage in discussions and further solidify agreements recently signed between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea, focusing on cooperation in oil, gas, and security.
