Ancelotti Rejects Brazil Job Offer, Eyes Potential Saudi Move

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly turned down an offer to become the next head coach of the Brazilian national team, despite earlier expectations that he would take the role after leaving the Spanish club this season.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, Ancelotti travelled to London earlier this week, where he was expected to sign a contract with the Brazilian Football Confederation. However, the deal was not finalized, and upon returning to Spain, the Italian coach informed Brazilian football president Ednaldo Rodrigues of his decision to decline the offer.

The reversal reportedly stemmed from uncertainty over when Ancelotti would be able to begin his duties. While Brazilian officials believed he could start in June, Ancelotti indicated he would not be available until August, prompting a breakdown in agreement.

With this development, Ancelotti is no longer in contention to manage Brazil and may instead continue with Real Madrid through the Club World Cup this summer. He is also said to be considering a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, where reports claim he could earn up to €50 million net (£42 million) in a potential deal.

Ancelotti is still expected to leave Real Madrid ahead of the 2025–26 season, ending his second spell in charge of the club.
