The Progressive Voters’ Forum (PVF) has said the forthcoming All Progressives Congress (APC) National Summit will serve as a unifying platform for the party’s leaders and members, while also highlighting President Bola Tinubu’s achievements over the past two years.

Dr. Olusegun Kenneth, National Coordinator of the PVF, made this known in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, commending President Tinubu and the APC leadership for organising the summit.

The summit, scheduled to take place on Thursday, will focus on the theme “Renewed Hope Agenda: The Journey So Far.” According to Kenneth, the event will provide an opportunity for the APC leadership to assess the party’s performance as the ruling party and chart a course for the future.

“This summit is coming at the right time. By May 29, it will be two years that our amiable President Tinubu took over government,” Kenneth said. “So as a responsible party, the Dr Abdullahi Ganduje-led APC National Working Committee (NWC) has provided this platform to showcase Tinubu’s many achievements that have been underreported or the opposition parties have refused to see.”

He stressed that the summit would offer a platform for open dialogue on national progress, reconciliation within the party, and strategies for future electoral success.

“As a forum, we believe that this summit is critical to solidify the party, evangelise it to more Nigerians, and drive it to victory in future elections,” he said.

Kenneth also expressed confidence that the summit would accommodate diverse interests, including newcomers to the party, in a bid to foster broader inclusion.

He urged Nigerians to continue supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda, asserting that the Tinubu-led administration had made significant strides in laying a solid foundation for the nation’s economic and infrastructural growth.

“According to him, the Tinubu-led government has used the last two years to lay good foundation for the economy, infrastructure and well-being of Nigerians,” the statement said. “The results have started yielding fruits, as prices of commodities are coming down and inflation is dropping, among others.”

“We believe that this national summit is in the interest of Nigerians and the nation. In due time, Nigerians will totally ignore the noise of opposition parties and their figures, and embrace the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu,” Kenneth added.

The summit is expected to have in attendance President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, APC state governors, former presidents, and party members at the National Assembly.
