The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh, has commended the dedication and round-the-clock commitment of the commission’s Madinah team in receiving Nigerian pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj.
In a statement issued on Sunday by Hajiya Fatima Usara, Assistant Director, Information and Publication, NAHCON, Prof. Saleh praised the team’s discipline and unwavering sacrifice in ensuring a smooth reception process for pilgrims arriving in the Holy Land.
“As the first point of contact for the pilgrims, the Madinah team has gone above and beyond, sacrificing sleep and comfort to ensure that the pilgrims are warmly received, well-fed, and properly guided,” Saleh said. “Their performance has been truly commendable.”
The NAHCON Chairman also acknowledged the vital roles played by airlines and other key partners in the successful execution of the Hajj operations so far.
“The NAHCON management can not thank the NAHCON staff enough, nor can management adequately appreciate the airlines and other various partners for their seamless cooperation,” he said. “It has been a collective effort, and the results are showing.”
Prof. Saleh assured that attention would soon turn to Makkah, where the next group of pilgrims is expected, and expressed confidence that the Makkah team is fully prepared to match and even surpass the high standards set in Madinah.
He reaffirmed NAHCON’s commitment to delivering an efficient and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience for all Nigerian pilgrims.
The NAHCON boss concluded with a prayer for continued success throughout the Hajj season, emphasizing the commission’s guiding principle: “To provide efficient and effective services to the pilgrims.”
