Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a N15 reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), setting new retail prices across Nigeria.

According to the revised pricing structure, petrol now sells for N875 per litre in Lagos, N885 in the South-West, and N895 across the North-West and North-Central zones. The South-East, South-South, and North-East regions will see petrol sold at N905 per litre. These new rates apply to the refinery’s key distribution partners, including MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde.

The refinery called on other marketers to join its distribution network, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Nigeria First policy, which promotes the use of locally produced goods and services.

This latest cut follows earlier price reductions — N125 per litre in February and N45 in April 2025 — as part of the refinery’s broader effort to ease the cost burden on Nigerians. It also complements price drops in diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

Despite global oil market volatility, the refinery reaffirmed its commitment to local price stability. “By refining products domestically at the world’s largest single-train refinery, we are strengthening Nigeria’s energy security and supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu,” it stated.

Dangote further assured of steady fuel availability, noting that it has enough reserves to meet domestic needs while also supporting exports to boost Nigeria’s foreign exchange earnings.
