The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has expressed readiness to partner with the Jigawa State Government to enhance revenue generation through improved tax administration.
The Sector Commander of the FRSC in Jigawa, Mr. Umar Matazu, made this known on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Bala Ibrahim, in Dutse.
According to Matazu, the partnership is crucial in strengthening tax administration systems for the mutual benefit of both the state and the Corps.
“This partnership is imperative towards enhancing tax administration for the mutual benefit of the state and the Corps,” Matazu said.
He also appealed for the government’s support to enable the Corps to carry out its mandate effectively, describing Jigawa as one of the most peaceful states in the country.
In his response, Mr. Bala Ibrahim pledged the government’s continued support to the Corps, assuring them of a conducive environment to operate efficiently.
“We will continue to support the Corps to enable it to discharge its responsibilities effectively,” Ibrahim stated.
