NNPCL Posts N748bn Profit in April, Begins Monthly Financial Reports

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced a Profit After Tax of N748 billion for April 2025, marking the start of its new monthly financial reporting initiative.

According to the April report, NNPCL generated a total revenue of N5.89 trillion, while its daily oil production—including crude and condensate—stood at 1.6 million barrels. Natural gas output was recorded at 7.47 billion standard cubic feet per day.

From January to March, the company reported making statutory payments amounting to N4.22 trillion.

As part of its ongoing operational push, NNPCL highlighted several strategic efforts, including collaboration with venture partners to boost sustainable production. It also said it had fully implemented presidential directives and executive orders related to its upstream activities.

On infrastructure, the company reported technical interventions on the AKK and OB3 pipeline projects, particularly around challenges involving the River Niger crossings. It also completed turnaround maintenance on four major Oil Mining Leases: OML 18, OML 58, OML 118, and OML 133.

Regarding refinery upgrades, NNPCL stated that its facilities in Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna are currently under review as part of broader efforts to revamp domestic refining capacity.

The company also listed key Final Investment Decisions (FIDs) scheduled for Q4 2025, including:

  • Ntokon Development (OML 102)
  • Crude Oil Production Expansion (OML 29)
  • Gas Development Projects (OMLs 30 and 42)
  • Brass Fertilizer Project (Financial Close)

The release of this monthly financial report follows renewed commitments to transparency and accountability under the current NNPCL board.
