Lil Nas X Arrested, Hospitalized in Los Angeles After Reported Overdose Incident

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X was arrested and later hospitalized in Los Angeles on Thursday morning following a disturbing incident involving a possible drug overdose, according to USA Today.

The 26-year-old artist, born Montero Lamar Hill, was taken into custody by LAPD officers shortly after 6:00 a.m. on August 21. Authorities responded to a 911 call reporting a nude man walking near the 11000 block of Ventura Boulevard.

Upon arrival, police say the individual—later identified as Lil Nas X—allegedly charged at the responding officers. He was subdued at the scene, arrested, and transported to a nearby hospital for what officials described as a suspected overdose.

He has since been booked on charges of battery on a police officer.

While officials initially withheld the suspect’s identity, inmate records from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department later confirmed it was indeed Lil Nas X.
