Nigerian skit maker and content creator, Raji Samad Adetola, popularly known as Mr Sanku Comedy, has died following a ghastly car accident along the Oyo-Ogbomoso road in Ibadan.
The accident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, quickly drew public attention after images and videos of the wrecked vehicle surfaced on social media showing it crashed into a ditch.
Sanku, who was in the car with a friend, was rushed to the hospital, but both were pronounced dead a few hours later.
The late comedian, who began his content creation journey in 2021, gained popularity for his unique storytelling style and comic skits.
Reacting to the news, Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa wrote on Instagram that she had asked one of her students living near Bowen Hospital to check on him. “He told me he was responding to treatment,” she said. Awelewa added that despite her fervent prayers against death, Sanku eventually passed away.
