Enioluwa, Tomike rally support as Hilda Baci cooks record jollof in Lagos
Celebrity chef and Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, is receiving strong support from popular influencers Enioluwa Adeoluwa and Tomike Adeoye as she attempts to cook the world’s largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice in Lagos.
The record-breaking effort is underway at the Gino Jollof Festival taking place on Friday, September 12, at Eko Hotel and Suites. The ambitious culinary feat involves preparing a giant pot measuring six metres wide and six metres tall, using 250 bags of rice to serve tens of thousands of attendees.
Baci, who gained global fame in 2023 after completing a 100-hour cooking marathon recognised by the Guinness World Records, said the new challenge is aimed at showcasing Nigerian cuisine on an extraordinary scale. The free-to-attend festival has already attracted more than 20,000 registered participants, according to organisers.
Among her loudest cheerleaders is influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa, who also supported her 2023 cook-a-thon. Sharing photos and videos with the chef on Instagram, he praised her determination, writing:
“There’s truly nothing you set your mind to that you don’t achieve… Today, as you break yet another world record, because I know you will, just know I’m cheering you on with all my heart.”
Actress and entrepreneur Tomike Adeoye, who is anchoring the festival, also celebrated the attempt as a defining cultural moment. In an Instagram post, she wrote:
“Hilda Baci is set to break records and we’re here to witness greatness happening in our generation! You’ve done it before; you will do it again with God on your side.”
Baci, assuring her fans and attendees, promised a safe and memorable experience: “The meal will be amazing and hygienic. Expect a record-breaking taste of jollof like never before,” she said.
With cheers from celebrities, thousands of fans, and global anticipation, all eyes are on Hilda Baci as she once again puts Nigerian jollof rice in the spotlight.
