Israeli Strikes Kill 16 Palestinians, Dozens Injured in Gaza
At least 16 Palestinians were killed and dozens more wounded on Saturday following Israeli military fire across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Hospitals in Gaza reported receiving the bodies of 12 victims after Israeli air and artillery strikes hit residential neighborhoods. Rescue workers said many others remain trapped under the rubble, with civil defense and ambulance crews struggling to reach them due to ongoing bombardments.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces opened fire on civilians waiting for humanitarian aid in the central Gaza Valley area, killing four people and injuring dozens more.
WAFA reported that the latest attack brings the total number of Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes on aid distribution sites to 4,479, with over 18,091 others injured since the escalation began.
