A young politician and senatorial hopeful under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bashir Hassan Ekoja, on Friday visited Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State as part of his consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ekoja, who is seeking the ADC ticket to contest for the Benue South Senatorial seat, was at Obagaji, the headquarters of Agatu LGA, where he joined party faithful to unveil the ADC Secretariat in the local government.
On the sidelines of the event, he paid a visit to his home village, Enungba, where he was warmly received by the youths and community members. During the visit, he received royal blessings from the district head, the Oche g’Enungba.
Ekoja also stopped at the palace of the paramount ruler of Agatu, the Oche ga Dogoji, in Obagaji, where he similarly received prayers, blessings, and assurances of support.
Speaking after the visits, Ekoja expressed gratitude to the traditional rulers and the people of Agatu for their warm reception and prayers. He said their show of solidarity had further strengthened his resolve to pursue his senatorial ambition under the ADC.
He assured the people of Benue South that his aspiration is anchored on providing quality representation, youth empowerment, and fostering peace and development across the senatorial district.
