Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has taken to Instagram to share her updated HIV test result, using the moment to encourage her fans and followers to know their status.

In her post on September 15, 2025, Amusa emphasized the importance of regular testing, outlining benefits such as early access to treatment, prevention of transmission, protection of loved ones, peace of mind, and the reduction of stigma associated with the virus.

“To whom it may concern. Updated result dated 15th September 2025. I still feel the need to encourage individuals to get tested and to know their HIV status. It is better to know your status so you can guide yourself and save others, too. You don’t have to die before death comes,” she wrote.

The actress also stressed that HIV testing is not only a personal responsibility but also a way to safeguard others, including reducing the risk of mother-to-child transmission.

Amusa’s openness follows a recent controversy after a TikTok creator falsely accused her of being HIV positive. While she initially threatened legal action, she later forgave the individual, citing compassion after learning of his personal loss.
