Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has shared her experience of life in Canada, where she is currently performing omugwo duties for her daughter, Priscilla Ojo-Mkambala, who recently welcomed a baby boy.

In a video posted on Instagram, the actress admitted that she deeply misses Nigeria and cannot wait to return once the omugwo period is over. She revealed that caring for her grandson, Rakim, has completely taken over her daily routine, often leaving her exhausted and disoriented with time.

“Peaceful child. But he eats too much. Every one hour. I miss Nigeria. Can’t wait to be done with omugwo,” Ojo said. “By the time we are done taking care of Rakim, you guys are already in the evening. And when I’m done, I want to rest. By the time I wake up, it’s already midnight.”

Playfully calling herself the “youngest grandma,” Ojo also joked about missing her signature black bonnet, which she usually wears during her popular Instagram live sessions.

The actress further disclosed that she would be traveling to Tanzania soon to escort her grandson for a family party planned in his honor. She also teased her fans, promising to return to her outspoken self once back in Nigeria.

“Funke Akindele, you have not worn omugwo clothe. I’m the youngest grandma… I miss my violent days. When I return to Nigeria, we will resume. I don’t know where Priscilla kept my black bonnet,” she added jokingly.
