Tinubu Praises Eniola Bolaji for Historic Paralympic Badminton Medal
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated 18-year-old Eniola Bolaji for her remarkable achievement in winning a bronze medal in badminton at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. Bolaji made history as the first African athlete to secure a medal in Para-badminton SL3 at the Games.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu lauded Bolaji’s courage and resilience, recognizing her accomplishment as Nigeria’s first medal at the Paralympics. He praised her as a shining example of the talent, grit, and resourcefulness of Nigerian youth.
“The President thanks the young athlete for making the nation proud and describes her as a fine example of the resourcefulness, talent, and grit of Nigeria’s youths,” the statement read.
