“I Haven’t Been the Best Dad” – 2Face Opens Up on Fatherhood, Vows to Do Better

Popular Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Face or 2Baba, has admitted that he has fallen short in his responsibilities as a father, revealing plans to improve his role in his children’s lives.

The singer made the disclosure during a recent episode of the Mic On podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, where he spoke candidly about fatherhood, responsibility and personal growth.

2Baba, who has eight children with four different women, said he wants to become more present and intentional as a father, stressing the importance of a strong father figure in shaping children’s upbringing.

“I want to really contribute to society positively. I want to be among those who make something meaningful happen. I have not been the best daddy. I want to do more,” he said, while also emphasising the need to keep aspects of his personal life private.

“However, privacy is very important,” he added.

The award-winning artist has two children with his first partner, Sumbo Ajaba-Adeoye, three with Pero Adeniyi, two with his ex-wife Annie Macaulay, and one with his current wife, Natasha Osawaru.

His remarks have sparked conversations online about celebrity parenting, responsibility and the challenges of balancing public life with family commitments.
