26-Year-Old Native Doctor Arrested Over Murder of Pregnant Nurse in Anambra
The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old native doctor, Chibunna Nwafor, in connection with the brutal killing of a pregnant nurse in Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area.
Nwafor, popularly known as “Offonwadile,” was apprehended on February 11, 2026, following investigations into the gruesome incident. Police sources said the suspect allegedly conspired with members of his gang to murder the nurse before mutilating her body.
According to preliminary findings, the remains of the victim were reportedly taken to the suspect’s shrine after the हत्या (killing), raising further concerns about ritual-related violence in the area.
The Anambra State Police Command confirmed the arrest and stated that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the gang involved in the crime. Authorities assured residents that all those responsible would be brought to justice, while urging the public to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information.
