Custody dispute: Davido mistakes gospel singer Tosin Bee for lawyer’s son

Afrobeats star Davido’s custody dispute with his estranged partner, Sophia Momodu, escalated online after the singer mistakenly directed criticism at the wrong individual.

The development followed a courtroom exchange between Davido and lawyer Ebelechukwu Enedah, who represents Momodu. The disagreement reportedly centred on references to his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, during proceedings.

In a social media post, Davido criticised Enedah’s conduct. However, in the process, he reposted content from Nigerian gospel artiste Tosin Bee, assuming a connection between the singer and the lawyer.

Tosin Bee subsequently issued a clarification, stating that he had no knowledge of the matter and no link to the legal dispute.

The incident has since generated widespread discussion across social media platforms, with observers noting the risks of misidentification in heated public disputes.
