Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing a peaceful resolution to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East, emphasizing continued diplomatic engagement with all parties involved.

Speaking on Thursday, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said Islamabad remains actively engaged in efforts aimed at de-escalation and dialogue.

“Pakistan is working to reduce tensions in the Middle East and the country continues to maintain open channels of communication with the parties involved,” he stated.

He noted that Pakistan’s diplomatic ties with both Iran and the United States remain intact, adding that ongoing diplomatic initiatives have contributed to a ceasefire between the two countries, which continues to hold.

“The clock of diplomacy has not stopped working and is functional.

“We remain hopeful for a negotiated settlement of the issue. We will continue with our sincerest efforts,” said the spokesperson.

Andrabi further explained that multiple proposals—both longstanding and newly introduced—are currently under discussion, with both sides engaged in consultations. He added that internal deliberations are also ongoing as stakeholders work toward a possible resolution.

Pakistan’s position underscores its broader foreign policy approach of advocating dialogue and negotiation as the primary means of resolving international conflicts.
