Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged victorious in the presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress held in Cross River State.

The result was announced on Saturday in Calabar by Bassey Otu, who served as the State Returning Officer and Coordinator for the exercise.

According to Otu, a total of 121,260 voters were registered for the primary, while 113,912 votes were cast. Tinubu secured 113,911 votes, while his opponent, Stanley Osifo, received no votes.

The governor noted that the final declaration of the overall winner of the APC presidential primary would be made in Abuja after results from other states are collated.

“As you can see, our work here is done, which is to announce what we had in Cross River. We shall transmit the results to Abuja, where they will be computed alongside results from other states,” Otu stated.

He added that the collation and announcement of the results were delayed due to the state’s challenging terrain and logistics.

Among dignitaries present at the event were Peter Odey, Elvert Ayambem, and members of the National Assembly.
