NFL Star Jonathon Cooper Arrested on Domestic Violence, Criminal Mischief Charges

Denver Broncos linebacker Jonathon Cooper has been arrested in Colorado, United States, over allegations of domestic violence and criminal mischief.

The 28-year-old NFL player was taken into custody on Thursday night and booked into a detention facility at approximately 2:38 a.m. on Friday, according to jail records.

Authorities have charged Cooper with two counts related to domestic violence, as well as criminal mischief. Details surrounding the alleged incident have not yet been made public, and law enforcement officials have not released further information about the circumstances leading to his arrest.

Cooper is expected to make his initial court appearance in the coming days, with a subsequent hearing scheduled for Monday, June 8, 2026.

A former standout at Ohio State University, Cooper was selected by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Since joining the franchise, he has established himself as a key contributor to the team’s defense.
