Lagos Govt Unseals Cubana Chief Priest’s Restaurant Hours After Closure

The Lagos State government has reopened De-Angels Donald’s Fast Food, owned by celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest, just hours after it was shut down for violating environmental regulations.

The closure, announced by Tokunbo Wahab, the state’s Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, took place due to repeated violations of noise pollution laws and other infractions.

Wahab stated that despite several warnings and notices of abatement, the restaurant, located on Adebayo Doherty Street in Lekki 1, failed to comply with environmental standards.

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) enforced the closure, citing the restaurant’s location in a residential area where clubbing and partying are prohibited.

However, the restaurant was unsealed after the owner signed an agreement to adhere to the state’s environmental laws.

As part of the agreement, De-Angels Donald’s Fast Food will now operate solely as a fast-food establishment, in line with the restrictions on its location.
