German Tourist Dies After Shark Attack Near Canary Islands
A 30-year-old German tourist has tragically died after being attacked by a shark while sailing off the Canary Islands, Spain.
The woman lost her leg during the attack, which occurred on Monday as she swam beside a British catamaran in the Atlantic, approximately 278 nautical miles southwest of Gran Canaria, according to reports from Reuters.
Despite being airlifted by a Spanish rescue helicopter, she suffered a heart attack during the journey and passed away, the Spanish coastguard confirmed.
