Police Urge Witnesses to Aid Investigation Amidst Rising U.S. Mass Shootings

Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying suspects involved in recent mass shootings across the United States, according to a report by the Independent.

“There is no greater resource than the public,” said Fitzgerald, as quoted by the media outlet. “We will do everything we possibly can to make sure we uncover, identify, and hunt down whoever is responsible for preying on our people.”

Data from the Gun Violence Archive reveals that the U.S. has experienced at least 403 mass shootings so far this year. A mass shooting is classified as an incident in which four or more victims are either killed or wounded.
