Patience Eno, the wife of Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel, has passed away, confirmed state Information Commissioner Ini Ememobong.
In a statement released in Uyo on Friday, Ememobong noted that Mrs. Eno died on Thursday surrounded by family members. He indicated that more details regarding the circumstances of her death would be shared by the family.
The commissioner urged the public to support the Akwa Ibom first family with prayers during this difficult time, requesting privacy for the family as they mourn their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
“The governor appreciates everyone who has stood by the first family during this period and assures that despite this personal loss, his commitment to serving the state remains unwavering,” the statement read.
