70 Kirikiri Inmates Commit to Good Character, Renew Faith in Christ
Seventy inmates at the Kirikiri Custodial Centre in Lagos have pledged to turn their lives around, committing to good character and faith in Jesus Christ during a visit by the Kingdom Impact Vision International (KIVI) on Thursday.
Led by Pastor Junior Nwaubani, the KIVI team conducted an evangelical outreach aimed at reforming the inmates spiritually and providing material support. The interdenominational Christian group held a session filled with praise, worship, and deliverance, encouraging the inmates to stay strong in their newfound faith.
Pastor Nwaubani urged the inmates to remain steadfast, stating, “You have accepted Christ and His good news today. Continue to meditate on the Bible and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life.”
Benjamin Odagbon, Head of Prison Evangelism for KIVI, commended the inmates for their decision to embrace Christ and assured them that the group would maintain its visits to offer ongoing encouragement.
One of the inmates, Idowu Jayioba, expressed his desire for freedom, sharing his hopes of serving God fully outside the prison walls.
