Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 47 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) across three Russian regions and the Sea of Azov overnight, according to a report from the Russian Defense Ministry.
The ministry stated that the Ukrainian forces attempted a “terrorist attack” using UAVs on Russian territory. “Operational air defense systems neutralized 47 fixed-wing UAVs. Of these, 17 were destroyed over the Krasnodar region, 16 over the Sea of Azov, 12 in the Kursk region, and two in the Belgorod region,” the report detailed, as cited by TASS.
Additionally, earlier reports from Belgorod’s governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, confirmed that one person was killed and eleven others injured due to Ukrainian shelling in the region on Friday.
