The Kogi State Vigilante Service arrested two suspected kidnappers in the Ibobo area of Abocho, Dekina Local Government Area, on October 21, 2024.
The suspects, identified as Umoru Garuba and Salifu Ademu, were apprehended after villagers raised an alarm upon sighting them.
Responding swiftly, the vigilante team on patrol detained the suspects, who later confessed to their involvement in the crime. They were handed over to the Quick Response Unit (QRU) in Anyigba for further investigation and prosecution.
The vigilante spokesperson, S.O. Saka, confirmed the arrest, assuring that investigations are ongoing to ensure justice and enhance community safety. Further updates are expected as the case progresses.
