Former Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) star, Victoria Adeyele, popularly known as Vee, has opened up about her experiences with love, trust, and relationships. In a candid interview on the Dear Ife podcast, the 27-year-old revealed that she has never truly been in love, citing challenges with trust and vulnerability.
“To enjoy love, you have to have no guard, you have to completely trust someone,” Vee explained. “I think I’ve loved someone, but I don’t believe I’ve ever been blindly in love because I always notice the red flags.”
Vee went on to describe how lying is a major red flag for her, sharing a personal story of how dishonesty once threatened her relationship. She recounted being contacted by someone with claims of inappropriate exchanges with her partner, only for her partner’s explanation to lack credibility. “You can always sense when someone is lying,” she added.
Vee also discussed her views on marriage, suggesting that not all relationships need to end in matrimony. She believes that happiness and stability should be prioritized over societal expectations. “Not everybody’s going to get married, and the sooner we accept that, the better life will be for many people, especially women,” she said.
While acknowledging that marriage could still be in her future, Vee emphasized the importance of open conversations in relationships, even if marriage isn’t the final goal.
