A Syrian soldier was killed, and seven others were injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple locations in Syria, according to a report by the official SANA news agency on Thursday.
The strikes, launched at dawn, hit two sites in the Kafr Sousa neighborhood of Damascus and a military point in Homs, a military source told SANA.
Israel has intensified its strikes in Syria to curb Iran and its allied militias from increasing their military presence in the region. The frequency of Israeli attacks has escalated since the Gaza war erupted on Oct. 7.
