Support Dangote Refinery to Curb Fuel Scarcity – Ibrahim
Alhaji Umaru Ibrahim, former MD of Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), emphasized the importance of supporting the Dangote Refinery to mitigate fuel scarcity.
Speaking at the 2024 Mid-Year Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Conference in Lagos, Ibrahim highlighted that backing the refinery would help address the reappearance of fuel queues in Lagos.
He urged regulators to act cautiously to avoid harming public interests and called for collaboration across various sectors to ensure financial stability.
The conference also saw Ibrahim’s inauguration as the Global Board Chairman of Emeritus, Risk and Compliance Professionals.
