Alleged land encroachment: Court fixes Feb 17 for hearing in Emir General Integrated Ltd vs Grandscope suit
The Gombe State High Court has adjourned for hearing a land dispute involving Emir General Integrated Limited and Grandscope Construction Limited till February 17, 2025.
The presiding judge Justice Fatima Musa adjourned the hearing of the case to the said date.
The counsel to the applicant, Barrister Sulaiman Abdurrahim said the case involved disputes over land encroachment, brought before the court by the Emir General integrated limited seeking legal redress against Grandscope Construction Limited for unauthorised trespass of its property.
Abdurrahim said there was a court order restraining the defendant whether by itself, agents, workmen, labourers, employers, or representatives, from further entering, erecting structure or commencing constructions work on the property.
For his part, counsel to the defendant, Barrister Garba Bin Ali Subi stated that the adjournment would provide them with ample time to thoroughly study the case.
Our Correspondent reports that the court earlier restrained Grandscope Construction Limited from further entering or commencing constructions on the property belonging to Emir General Integrated Limited, pending the hearing and determination of motion on notice.
