The university clinched the prestigious award for its outstanding performance in the combined admission years of 2023/2024 and 2024/2025, topping the overall category with an aggregate of 14 points across all five performance indicators.

Presenting the award in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Ahmed, handed over the cheque and certificate to ABU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adamu Ahmed. Prof. Oloyede said the NATAP-M award was created to promote national unity, transparency, and excellence in tertiary admissions by encouraging institutions to admit students from across the country and improve gender inclusivity.

In his acceptance remarks, Prof. Ahmed expressed deep appreciation to JAMB and reaffirmed ABU’s commitment to maintaining high standards that will elevate Nigerian universities in global rankings. He also praised the university’s Senate, Governing Council, and alumni for their continued support and contributions to the institution’s progress.
