The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Adamawa Council on Wednesday lauded Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri’s achievements, acknowledging his welfare packages to the people across the state.
The union stated this in a goodwill message signed by its
council Secretary, Fidelis Jockthan in Yola to mark Christmas celebration.
“The union particularly, rejoices with all its members on this significant day, which is the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ and its essence to mankind.
“The yuletide season as we also count down to few days to new year 2025 reminded us of the core values of love, compassion and pure ideals that we share as a people.
“The celebration of 2024 Christmas is special on the minds of Adamawa people because it was heralded by monumental infrastructural development and expansion of traditional institutions as demonstrated by present administration.
“Peace is priceless and it is always Paramount particularly in a heterogeneous society like ours.
“We should equally remember that behind Christmas is the idea that we are to be brother’s keeper and share our love with all and Sundry,” he said.
According to him, media is the vehicle for re-shaping democracy and urged members to use the festive period to instilled patriotism and fear of God in the minds of citizens.
