AEDC Staff Brutally Murdered, Motorcycle Stolen in Nasarawa
Yusuf Ibrahim Kadimu, a staff member of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), was tragically murdered on Tuesday night in the Tudun Kauri area of Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Eyewitnesses reported that the 37-year-old was discovered face-down in a pool of blood with severe wounds near the INEC office, close to the Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS). The nature of his injuries suggested a violent attack.
Preliminary accounts allege that Kadimu may have been attacked by individuals he attempted to assist. The assailants reportedly assaulted him and fled with his motorcycle, leaving him for dead.
His identity was confirmed when his relatives arrived at the scene and identified the body.
Speaking to reporters, his uncle, Umaru Kasimu, condemned the killing and called on security agencies to act without delay. “This is a tragic and senseless loss. We demand justice,” he said.
As of the time of filing this report, the Nasarawa State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
