Afghan police have dismantled seven-member gangs of thieves and arrested 45 suspects in recent operations targeting criminal activities across multiple provinces, the Ministry of Interior Affairs announced on Monday.
The arrested gang members were involved in armed robbery and theft in Kabul, the statement said, adding that they had confessed to their crimes.
In separate operations across Nimroz, Kunduz, Kandahar, Herat, Paktia, and Samangan provinces, security forces apprehended 45 individuals accused of various offenses, including theft and human trafficking, the ministry reported on Sunday.
The detained suspects have been handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation and potential legal proceedings.
