A series of swift and precise airstrikes by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in Niger State has successfully neutralised scores of terrorists and prevented what could have been another major attack, officials said on Friday.

According to Air Force spokesman, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the strikes were conducted between June 24 and 26 under Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Sector 1, following credible intelligence on terrorist movements and cattle rustling activities in the Kakihun and Kumbashi communities.

“The Air Component launched multiple waves of precision strikes that crushed the terrorists, destroyed their logistics bases, and disrupted their plans to regroup,” Ejodame stated.

The coordinated operation involved close collaboration with ground forces and other security agencies, highlighting the Air Force’s rapid response and strategic capabilities in the ongoing fight against terrorism.

Ejodame reaffirmed the NAF’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the country, pledging continued operations until peace is fully restored.
