Neymar’s father has revealed that Al Hilal, the Saudi Arabian club where the Brazilian football star currently plays, is yet to determine his son’s future amid ongoing speculation about his career.

The 32-year-old forward has faced a series of injury setbacks, sparking rumors about a possible return to his former club, Santos, in Brazil. Despite these reports, Neymar Sr., speaking during an interview with Roundcast, confirmed that Al Hilal remains committed to the player and has no immediate plans to release him.

Addressing the situation, Neymar Sr. said:

“We’ll wait and see what happens, and how Neymar really feels. He will be free to decide. We have never been so free to decide where we will go, and to have a 32-year-old guy free is a gift for any club.”

He added that Neymar is expected to feature for Al Hilal in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, where the club aims to leverage his vast experience on the international stage.

“All the clubs are going to be there, and Al Hilal too. They already have one of the biggest stars for this kind of tournament, and a player who has experience at this level. That is why they have not given up on his contract.”

Neymar is contracted with Al Hilal until 2025, and while speculation about his next move continues, his father expressed confidence in his ability to recover and make a strong comeback.

“I see speculation, and we are prepared for that. I know the market is waiting for him and to see how he recovers, but he always comes back stronger. It will not be different this time.”

For now, the football world awaits further updates on Neymar’s recovery and his future with Al Hilal.
