A Benue State community has been thrown into shock following allegations that a young woman killed her newborn baby in Gboko Local Government Area.

The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Sunday, December 14, 2025, behind Government Secondary School, Gboko. According to residents, the woman allegedly gave birth to a baby boy and ended the child’s life shortly after delivery.

The development sparked panic and deep sorrow among locals, with many calling for swift police intervention to unravel the circumstances surrounding the case and ensure justice is served.
