Andrew Tate Won’t Face Charges Over Bri Stern’s Assault Allegations — LA Prosecutors Drop Case
Social media influencer and controversial figure Andrew Tate will not face criminal charges stemming from assault allegations made by model Brianna “Bri” Stern, after the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office dropped the case due to lack of sufficient evidence.
According to TMZ, Tate’s lawyer, Joseph McBride, confirmed that the DA’s office informed him of the decision after Tate voluntarily cooperated with the investigation and submitted a “do-not-prosecute” packet aimed at discouraging formal charges.
The complaint was tied to an alleged incident at The Beverly Hills Hotel on March 11, when Stern claimed that Tate choked her during sex despite her repeated pleas for him to stop. The model, who said she had been in a relationship with Tate for 10 months, has since filed a civil lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, accusing him of sexual battery and harassment.
The lawsuit includes text messages allegedly from Tate that reference violent and abusive behavior. One message reportedly read: “I want to beat the f**k out of you,” while another said: “You will give me a child this year, b**ch… What’s the point in having you if I don’t beat and impregnate you?”
Tate’s attorney, McBride, dismissed the allegations as unfounded and politically motivated. “Tate’s foes have weaponized courts globally to attack him,” he said. “We’re grateful the evidence clearly showed his innocence, sparing him an unjust indictment.”
Despite the decision not to pursue criminal charges, Stern’s civil suit remains active. She is also seeking a restraining order and has filed a police report. In interviews, Stern claims she continues to suffer trauma from the alleged abuse, including a diagnosis of post-concussion syndrome, and has received threats from Tate’s online supporters.
“The relationship started with love but ended in control and violence,” Stern told DailyMail.com, recalling how they met during a content shoot in Romania through a mutual friend. She remains determined to speak out, despite the backlash. “It’s terrifying, but I’m still here,” she said.
Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer known for his provocative online persona, is already facing sex trafficking charges in Romania alongside his brother, Tristan Tate. Both brothers have denied all allegations.
As of now, no trial date has been set for the civil proceedings in Los Angeles.
