Angela Okorie Apologises to Mercy Johnson, Family Over Past Feud

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has issued an unreserved public apology to fellow actress Mercy Johnson, her children and family, following a period of tension and public disagreements.

Okorie made the apology in a video shared on her Instagram page, where she expressed appreciation to her fans before addressing Mercy Johnson directly.

Describing herself as imperfect, she explained that the message was specifically directed to Mercy Johnson and her family, acknowledging that misunderstandings and rumours may have fueled their conflict over time.

According to her, hearsay and third-party claims contributed to the issues between them, leading to quarrels and unnecessary tension. She, however, noted that she no longer wished to be involved in such disputes.

Okorie apologised for any hurtful remarks she may have made, either online or offline, and rejected negative labels that had been associated with Mercy Johnson.

She also emphasised the need for peace, particularly for the sake of their children, condemning any form of bullying targeted at Mercy Johnson’s kids. She stressed that such actions were unacceptable and urged for a more respectful environment.

Reiterating her apology, the actress appealed for forgiveness from anyone she may have offended, whether knowingly or unknowingly.

Okorie further revealed that both actresses had already resolved their differences privately after a phone conversation, during which they apologised to each other and embraced reconciliation.

She concluded by offering prayers and well wishes to Mercy Johnson and her family.

The apology comes shortly after Okorie’s arrest by the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department over allegations of cyberstalking, threats and harassment. She was later granted bail in the sum of N5 million.
