APSF Commends Governor Zulum for Resilience in Fight Against Insurgency, Urges Support for Collaboration to Tackle Emerging Threats

Abuja, Nigeria – The National President of the All Progressives Stakeholders’ Forum (APSF), Hon. (Dr.) Maryam Yunusa Danjaki, has commended the Governor of Borno State, His Excellency Professor Babagana Umara Zulum CON mni FNSE, for his unwavering commitment and resilience in the fight against insurgency in the state.

In a press release issued in Abuja, Hon. (Dr.) Danjaki praised Governor Zulum’s efforts in promoting peace and stability in Borno State, despite the recent concerns raised by the Governor regarding the use of drones and technology by insurgents to infiltrate military bases.

“The use of drones and technology by insurgents is a highly unfortunate and unacceptable development, and if not tackled decisively and immediately, can lead to counterproductive efforts in the fight against insurgency and banditry,” Hon. (Dr.) Danjaki said. “This gesture is laudable, coming from a Governor with a transformative focus for community development and a concern for the country to be at peace.”

Hon. (Dr.) Danjaki called on the Federal Government and all security agencies to support Governor Zulum’s call for collaboration to end the menace of insurgency, which is growing beyond reach. She also commended the Brigade Commander and other heads of agency for their efforts so far, but emphasized the need for continued collaboration between stakeholders to ensure the insurgency is tackled once and for all.

Recall that Governor Zulum had, in a recent press interview, attributed the new developments in insurgency to sabotage within and called for strong collaboration between various stakeholders to nip the situation in the bud.

The APSF National President’s commendation of Governor Zulum’s efforts is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the peace and stability of Borno State and the country as a whole.
