Benue South Senatorial aspirant, Bashir Hassan Ekoja has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR), describing him as a statesman, patriot, and elder devoted to the service of Nigeria.
In a condolence message released on Sunday, Ekoja paid glowing tribute to Buhari’s leadership and enduring contributions to Nigeria’s unity, security, and governance — both as a military head of state and as a democratically elected president.
“President Buhari served our nation with a sense of duty and discipline,” Ekoja stated. “His contributions to Nigeria’s unity, security, and governance will remain part of our national history.”
He extended heartfelt condolences to the late president’s family, the government and people of Katsina State, and all Nigerians mourning the loss.
“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus,” Ekoja prayed, adding that Nigeria must find strength, peace, and unity during this period of mourning.
