Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has officially earned a place in the Guinness World Records after setting two new titles for the most cosmetic makeovers completed in eight hours and 24 hours.

Guinness World Records confirmed the achievement in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, writing:

“Congratulations to @Symply_Tacha who set TWO new @GWR titles for the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and 24 hours.”

Tacha made the record-breaking attempts last month during the Tacha Beauty Festival, held from October 10 to 12, 2025, at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History in Lagos. The event featured 150 models.

According to Guinness World Records, Tacha completed 82 makeovers in eight hours and 144 makeovers in 24 hours, securing both records.

Reacting to the recognition, the 29-year-old reality star took to Instagram to share an emotional message of gratitude, dedicating the feat to her team, fans, and late mother.

“This was powered by grace, persistence, and the unwavering support of my TEAM and fans who refused to let me quit,” she wrote. “You smiled, talked, cried, and hyped me till the very last second. From the depth of my heart, thank you. We didn’t just work—we warred.”

Tacha also reflected on the challenges behind her success, noting the long nights and emotional moments that defined the journey.

“The world sees the headline, but God and I know the trenches—sleepless nights, generator hum, prayers at 3 AM, swollen feet, shaky hands, and grace that does not lie,” she said.

In her interview with Guinness World Records, Tacha explained that the inspiration for the attempt came from her lifelong love for makeup and a desire to inspire African women.

“The idea of daring to be different drove me. Makeup has always fascinated me since childhood. This record was born from that same spirit, resilience, and courage to stand out,” she said. “I wanted to show that Nigerian women can achieve anything they put their minds to and that creativity deserves global recognition.”

Tacha ended her message with words of encouragement to her fans and fellow dreamers:

“Do not stop. If you don’t have haters, pray for haters because they’ll push you into purpose. While they hate, I chase destiny and win. My first name, Anita, means gracious—and grace is loud on my life.”
